Tips for Inserting DecoTeenty lights In Your Bottle.
Drill your hole in the back side of your bottle. Follow Instructions.
Rinse bottle and dry. You may want to dry it in a warm oven.
Thread your string of Deco Bulbs through one of the snap-in plastic grommets.
Insert Deco bulbs into bottle. Turn bottle neck down and shake bottle so the lights are more evenly distributed. I will often tie a short piece of fishing line near the terminal end of the lights and pull the bulbs up a little tighter in the neck of the bottle. The bottle cork will keep the line tight. If not using a bottle cork you would have to try a little speck of glue to the inside of the bottle neck. What often happens is the lights over time will settle down lower in the bottle leaving the top half with few bulbs.
The Clear Teeny super bright bulbs look really great in the dark colored bottles. Using clear bottles you may want to try multi-colored bulbs.
Be sure to use Darice Deco Teeny bulbs when drilling a 3/8 inch hole. Many string lights have a standard socket which is the same size as standard Christmas lights. If you using the larger bulbs you will need a ½ or 5/8 inch hole.

Diamond hole saws for incense bottle smokers
Diamond coated holesaw/drill bit. 3/8" outside diameter. 1/4" shank. Can drill approx. 1.5" deep. Selected and recommended for drilling vent hole in incense bottles/smoker. Contact me at starkey25@live.com. drilling instructions are included.
Incense bottle smokers are a very unique item. They are used for aromatherapy or most often to providing a pleasant atmosphere in your home. They are very easy and fun to make. All you need is a unique bottle, a drill motor and most important a diamond drill bit (hole saw). A 3/8" diamond drill bit will work just fine... I noticed a craft table at a recent craft show here FL selling incense wine bottles..She had a great display and was selling her incense bottle between 12 & 18.00 dollars. She also was selling incense sticks that you would light and insert in the bottle. I was surprised at the brift business she was doing... She also sold a lots of her painted bottles which were very done. Just another example of how to re-cycle old bottles and make some money at the same time Gerald

mason jar lamp
If you have ever visited a country store or antique mall you may have seen lots of old Bell Mason or Kerr canning jars. There is a certain charm to them and we love to reminisce and recall the canning days at grandma’s house. We are all very familiar with both bell mason and Kerr canning jars and that makes them somewhat attractive to imitative crafters. They make charming, rustic country table lamps with them. Mason and Kerr canning jars lamps eye catching and unique because they can display a wide verity of collectibles such as sea shells, beans, buttons, beach stones, marbles or any others item that you can think of. If you were to use Google Search you will find lots of canning jar lamps for sell. However: Why not make one yourself?.. They are rather easy to make and you can find Mason or Kerr canning jars at any garage sale, county store or you can use new canning jars that are available at any supermarket. Again, use Google Search to find a source for canning jar lamp socket adopters. You can also find them at your local hardware store. You will notice that most of the canning jar socket adopter uses a standard light socket with the lamp cord coming out of the socket base. I don’t partially like that style as it leaves the lamp cord hanging down the side of the lamp. I would rather buy a 3/8 inch diamond drill bits and drill a hole near the bottom of the canning jar and insert the lamp cord from the bottom. As far as the lamp light socket goes, You can use a standard socket with a push threw off & on switch or if you want to insert lights inside the mason jar as well a light on top, you can use a two circuit, 3 terminal light socket. This socket gives you the ability to turn on the inside the jar lights only or the top light only, or turn on both. Making your very own Mason Canning Jar lamp is a fun craft and I am sure you would enjoy this craft

How to make a Incense Bottle Smoker
Use a 3/8 inch Diamond drill bit for a vent hole in your Incense bottle
Incense bottles or incense smokers are a very unique craft item. They sell at craft show between ten and twenty dollars. They are used for aromatherapy. Many use incense bottles smoker instead of air wicks in their homes. They are very easy to make. All you need is a bottle so some kind, a drill motor and most important, a good quality diamond coated drill bit. A 3/8 inch diamond bit will work just fine. You need to select a bottle that is about 12 inches high. Tell enough so that your incense stick can be placed in the bottle without touching the bottom. Many incense bottle artist buy bottle at wholesale. They often will use clear bottles and paint a design on the outside or a swirl on color on the inside. I have seen a wide variety of different shaped bottles used. Small flower vases, vinegar bottle, olive oil bottle, just about any tall, thin shaped bottle that you can find.

LED bulb lights for wine bottles
The major issue with using the standard string of Christmas lights in your wine bottle is the high heat that the lights generate. If you use a string of thirty five lights the bottle will be too hot to touch. Maybe not so hot that it will burn your fingers, but quit warm. The longer you leave the lights on the warmer your wine bottle will be. It could be a safety issue if you sell your lighted wine bottles and someone picked it up and was startled and dropped it. You may want to check to see just how hot a wine bottle can get depending on how many strings lights you inserted. It may surprise you. What about using LED string lights? LED string lights are brighter and burn much, much cooler. They will last longer and will not cause your lighted wine bottle to get too hot. I prefer using LED lights in my wine bottles that I sell or make as gifts. They have one major problem. A string of twenty LED colored or clear lights cost about three or four times as much as a string of standard Christmas Lights. The extra cost makes selling your lighted wine bottles a little more difficult due to the higher price you will need to charge.
Rice or teeny lights are very bright and also burn very cool. They are much smaller but give off plenty of bright light for your bottle. They often come in a count of 20 and can be found in most hobby or crafts stores. You can use Google search to find your local craft store as well as to check price. Your comments are always welcome

Titanium Diamond drill bits
I have been selling 1mm titanium diamond drill bits with a 1/8 inch shanks for the last 4 or 5 months. During that short time it has become a very popular with jewelry designers. The feedback has been very positive. Many crafters like the 1mm (1/8” ) shank.
Titanium diamond bits are made with a premium grade of diamond sand which makes these
Diamond bits a much better quality and should cut a little faster than ordinary burrs.
The 3mm (1/8 inch) shank will fit any hand drill, drill press or your DremeR or ForedomR rotary tool
With a 3/8” collet. Overall length is approx.. 1 5/8 inch. Diamond grit 100 (medium)
The only problem I have is that they are only manufactured in the 1mm size. Perhaps at a later time
They will be available in a wider variety of sizes as I feel the titanium diamond bits are better quality.
I should mention that I have available a set of 30 titanium burrs all with a 1/8 inch shank. This set is also
very popular with jewelry designers. This set has a nice selection of burrs/points.

How to make a lighted wine bottle
Drill holes in glass blocks or wine bottle with diamond drill bits with a hand held drill motor.
Before you start to drill the hole you should use some Silly Putty to form a donut. Place the donut over the spot where you want to drill the hole. On a glass block I find a place just off the center line where the two halves of the block are joined. Fill the donut hole with water... During the cutting process the bit will begin to heat up. Make sure the hole in the donut is full of water. Have a little cup of water nearby in case you need to add a little water. Place your wine bottle or glass block on old towel and position between your feet on a hard cement floor. See if you can start drilling by tipping the drill bit a little on its edge you will have to apply a little pressure to get your drill bit to starting cutting. Once it start to cut you can than bring it straight up Remember; Diamond coated drill bits can heat up very quickly. Pump your drill up and down every few seconds. Drilling the hole will take a few minutes because it is difficult to drill through thick glass. Glass blocks are manufactured with a slight vacuum inside. You will often hear a slight hiss when the drill bit breaks through. Wash the glass block inside and out to get the glass dust out of the block. Let it dry before you start to decorate. Remember you don’t need a lot of downward pressure. Set your drill motor at low speed. To learn more about drilling glass block or wine bottle go to google search.
